Neighborhoods First

Our residential neighborhoods are the heart and soul of our city and District 7—our greatest asset and top priority. Priscilla is committed to maintaining our 1,440 lane-miles of streets citywide and sidewalks, increasing proactive code enforcement, supporting quality housing through new single-family and senior developments, renovating aging multifamily units, and enforcing stricter short-term rental ordinances to protect the integrity of our neighborhoods.

Priscilla is proud to have received the endorsement from MetroTex Association of Realtors and the Apartment Association Greater Dallas.

Public Safety

Priscilla is a steadfast champion for our first responders, recognizing that the Irving Police and Fire Departments are the backbone of a safe and thriving community. She is committed to ensuring they have the staffing, advanced technology, competitive pay, and strong community partnerships needed to deter crime, respond rapidly to emergencies, and empower residents to take an active role in neighborhood safety.

Priscilla is proud to have received the endorsement from the Irving Professional Firefighters Association.

Fiscal Responsibility

With a FY24-25 budget of $924.5 million, Priscilla supports identifying new revenue sources beyond property taxes to strengthen city services and ensure long-term financial sustainability. She also advocates for regular audits of city services to eliminate waste, improve efficiency, uncover underutilized revenue opportunities, and reduce reliance on property taxes—because taxpayers deserve better service, not higher bills.

Economic Development

In countless door-to-door conversations, Priscilla hears the same message loud and clear—District 7 and the Heritage District need more family-friendly retail options. She is committed to attracting businesses like ice cream shops, farmers' markets, and family-friendly entertainment venues while encouraging residents to shop locally and keep our sales tax revenue dollars working for Irving, not neighboring cities.

Priscilla's Thoughts On

Other Issues

Public Libraries and Museums

Libraries and museums are cornerstones of our community, preserving culture and knowledge while offering open access to all. Priscilla stands firmly for protecting First Amendment rights while ensuring age-appropriate materials are properly shelved and encouraging parents to actively engage with their children in these public spaces.

Public Transportation

For FY24-25, Irving has committed over $108 million in taxpayer dollars to our public transportation system—an investment the majority of citizens have consistently supported with their vote to keep DART in our city. Priscilla recently rode DART for six hours (bus, rail, TRE and GoLink), the only candidate in this race to do so, to see firsthand how our public transportation system works in our city; while DART provides valuable transportation options, there are areas for improvement. That's why we must work together to enhance the system, ensuring residents receive the reliable, efficient service they deserve—one that reflects the value of their hard-earned taxpayer dollars.

Gambling

Priscilla is against gambling, and while she was on the Planning and Zoning Commission, she protected our neighborhoods and families by voting to stop the spread of poker houses in our community.

The City of Irving handled the PUD #6 zoning case incorrectly. State Law prohibits casino gaming statewide, so the zoning change should never have included the words casino or gaming. If Priscilla is your council member, she will not entertain acting on something that is prohibited by state law. Before gaming is ever considered by the Council, the citizens deserve and must have the right to vote and make their voices heard through a constitutional amendment election.

Furthermore, if she were on the council and this issue were brought up, she would firmly be against acting for or against it until Irving voters have had the chance to make their voices heard. Every resident should have the opportunity to vote on an activity of this magnitude in their city. Just as voters had their say on DART and the sale of beer and liquor, they deserve that same voice on this issue. While Priscilla is personally against gambling, she will always respect the will of the voters and act accordingly.

Homelessness

Irving must work collaboratively with cities across Dallas County and other regional partners to address homelessness—an urgent crisis that transcends city boundaries and demands a unified, strategic response. Priscilla is committed to fostering partnerships across government, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders to implement real solutions that provide immediate support and tackle the root causes of homelessness with long-term, sustainable impact.
